is there any way I can get fibre in the estate where I live if I pay for the connection?

we have fiber to the cabinet where  I live with a download speed of 18Mbs (in a good day) that means that when we are watching Netflix HD , everybody else strugles to watch youtube videos even at 1880p, is there any way I can get fibre to the home in the estate where I live if I pay for the connection? the cabinet is about 300m away. I  got to the point that I am considering leaving Sky and get satellite broadband but I don't know anybody in the area that has tried that already...

@Fredinberg  No one on the forum can tell you what you can or will get, you can check this link here and it will show what is available via the openreach network https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome#

The only other opions if faster speeeds are not available via Openreach network is the likes of Virgin Media, City Fibre, Community Fibre etc.

@Fredinberg The only way would be via fttp on-demand if its available in your area, be aware though the cost if available will be in the thousands, at my last property the cabinet was rougly 700 meters away and the cost i was quoted was £10,500.

Thank you @daveNOS  , wow.... they make you pay good money ....I believe you are Based in the UK, I am based in Ireland and really I tried to talk to Sky Ireland in the past and as far as they are concerned they don't seem to care too much (actually nothing at all) to help on that matter, after all they have nothing to gain financially by boosting their lines... but thank you for the advise I didn't know that there was a name for it (FTTP on demand) anyways as it is it sucks big times

@Fredinberg Sky use EIRcom infrastructure so you may get a better answer from them.

Running fibre is an expensive business as the quote for the Openreach Fibre on Demand service showed. In practice it is almost impossible to order that as few ISPs offer it (really only business suppliers) and Openreach are too busy with their commercial roll out to do the work even if you can get a supplier.  Oddly Openreach seem to be able to run private ethernet lines (exactly the same tech) but hey they are even more expensive. 

In Ireland this site https://www.eir.ie/broadband/coverage-map/ shows you EIRcom's network otherwise you may find a diifferent company a so called Altnet supplier may cover your area.
