iPhone won’t recognise WIFI router password

Hi,

my iPhone has suddenly disconnected from home WiFi and when I try to join again it says the password is incorrect....even though it's the correct one and input using all case sensitive letters.

My iPads remain connected to WiFi🤷‍♂️

thanks

@George64 iPhones can sometimes scamble the memory that stores WiFi passwords. Tell the phone to forget the connection and ideally restart the phone fully then add the Sky connection from scratch if one of the iPads is close by it should offer to share the password.

@George64 no sorry to say if other devices are connecting correctly then it isnt an issue with your Sky hub it's an issuecwith the phone. Normally rebooting the phone clears the memory location not sure why yours isnt assuming you did a power down reboot rather than just restarting the phone.

Re: iPhone won’t recognise WIFI router password

@Chrisee thanks.....actually I did a restart ( turn off and turn on again). What's the difference between that and a power down reboot ?

@George64 if you fully restart  the phone as explained here https://support.apple.com/en-gb/118259 it clears the memory. You dont use sppscetc just clearscthe RAM and reloads the OS.

Like most electronic kit occasionally doing a full reboot clears glitches

Re: iPhone won’t recognise WIFI router password

@Chrisee ....all sorted thanks. Realised other devices that had disconnected wouldn't reconnect, but those that connected throughout were fine. So reset the hub password and it seems to have done the trick.

thanks for the help
