Xbox series X Nat type unavailable
My Xbox one is unable to connect to my sky router. When I connect via either ethernet cable or on WiFi it comes up with "NAT type unavailable".
Router is straight into xbox - no tp link
I have tried troubleshooting but nothing works.

Re: Xbox series X Nat type unavailable
@Vance check the setting of Sky's Broadband Shield in the My Sky app which can block online gaming sites if set to to a low age.

Re: Xbox series X Nat type unavailable
Thank you, had tried that but no luck.
Seems crazy a Sky service that sells itself as an online gaming leader has this issue...5 days now no connection 😞

Some of us have expressed thoughts about that particular marketing campaign in the Superuser forum.

@Vance check that UPnP is enabled on the hub it should be on the black hub by default but isnt on the white type so use the method described here UPnP set up
Otherwise I think you are into the joys of port forwarding.

Re: Xbox series X Nat type unavailable
@Chrisee your fix worked, thank you I am connected. I also enabled zero config. The lag is now horrendous though

Re: Xbox series X Nat type unavailable
@Vance glad thst worked not sure what is causing the lag though typically poor wifi, routing issues, server issues and then Sky's network are the main offenders in decresing order.

Re: Xbox series X Nat type unavailable
I've connected via ethernet cable now and thats working too - great work @Chrisee.
Speed is fluctuating around 850, latency 12ms, upload speed over 100 and download speed over 100
lagg is horrendous making online gaming impossible, 100% not the xbox

Re: Xbox series X Nat type unavailable
@Vance latency of 12ms sounds great but of course it depends on where that is measured to but 12ms is pretty standard. 850Mb/s down sounds reasonable on a 900Mb/s connection. Upload speed should be around 90Mb/s which is the max for the product.
I would reboot both the. Xbox and the hub to eliminate any issues there but otherwise. I cannot explain the apparent packet loss you are experience. @jamesn123 any ideas?

Re: Xbox series X Nat type unavailable
@jamesn123 - loaded latency is 50-90ms on the sky router
xbox has gradually worsened over the course of the day, between 50 to 60 again loaded.
lagg has worsened

Re: Xbox series X Nat type unavailable
Any chance you are able to connect a PC via ethernet & run a latency test that way? The latency test on the Xbox doesnt tell the full story because it doesnt do a sustained test.
A good site for this is https://speed.cloudflare.com/
Also what games are you experiencing lag on?
