Wireless issues , online gaming won’t work on sons Xbox , will work with a wired connection

Wireless online gaming issues , sons is unable to play online gaming in room , this works ok when the Xbox has a wired connection direct from the router but will not work with the booster in his room

Error code : we can't detect internet connection on Minecraft and also unable to play fc24 online , have spoken to Xbox and we have done all the trouble shooting and was advised to contact my isp

Fc24 error message : in order to access online features you must be signed in to Xbox network , have tried logging on on a different Xbox and it's ok , have tried a wired connection downstairs straight into router and it works , it's only in his bedroom there are issues

The booster shouldn't be there: it needs to be as close as possible to halfway in between the router and the console, and preferably positioned to direct signal around obvious obstacles (thick walls, stairwell, water tank etc)

 

'Boosters' are actually 'relays' or 'repeaters': they aren't permitted to be more powerful than any other domestic wireless device.
