Will openreach put the outdoor full fibre box where I would like it?where I want iy

I have just ordered full fibre and have been told openreach will fit a box to the outside of my house. It looks like they fit them where the current phone line comes in, which in my case is on a wall above my garage roof. I don't want the box fitted above my garage roof. Will they put it where I want? I'm concerned that they will fit it while I am not in. I don't want them going on my garage roof.

When installing my FTTP they were very leanient with the placement of their equipment. They are very profesional!

@BigTonkaBoy it will depend on the engineer doing the job but Openreach or Sky engineers should not go onto the garage roof for no other reason than their own safety.

I assume the feed will be from a pole rather than an underground supply. Depending on the antcipated complexity of the job it can be a one stage or two stage job. With one stage the engineer fitting the ONT will also run the drop wire from the poke and fit the external box so you will becable to discuss the options. If it is down as a 2 stage install thst may not happen and tge external work can be done when you are not there.

It is a two stage installation. The cable will come a pole. The current line does and goes to my foof above my garage,  I would prefer the cable  to go to the opposite corner of the house  That way it is closer to where the router goes.

How long before the sky install do openreach do the outside work?

Had It installed today. A sub contractor of Openreach did the full install no issues. Put the boxes exactly where I wanted them. Really pleased.
