Will new sky hub stay connected to my devices

I have to go from my sky hub to 4.2 router because copper is no longer supported, I was told from sky that once I connect to my sky q all my devices will automatically connect despite there being a new password is this correct information from them?

No that isn't correct because as you rightly say the new hub will have a new Sky network name and password. There is a way around this and  that is to connect something like a phone/tablet to it and then login to the new hub and change the network name and password to match that of you previous hub.

Ok thank you I can't believe 2 of them both said they would connect 😡. So do I connect to my phone before or after connecting the sky hub to my sky Q box?

You would need to do it before so you can change the network name and password in the new hub then when you have done this and saved the change the Q box should then connect up. You would just need to setup your phone to connect up again after doing this.

I spoke to sky again today to complain about the other 2 telling me it would connect and this one said no it wouldn't but then added even changing the password still won't work 🙃 I give up with them!
