Will Openreach phone me to tell me when they are installing Full Fibre Broadband?

Hi,

I'm having Sky Full Fibre installed on the 29/05/25 and I weas told by Sky that Openreach would first have to come and Install Full Fibre and run a cable from the telegraph pole and then into a box on the outside of my house, but Sky has told me I don't have to be at home for them to do this.

My question is, Will Openreach send me an appoinment or phone me with the installation date?

Not necessarily, no.  If it's a straightforward installation which doesn't require digging (for example) then they'll just go ahead and do it.

Putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should confirm which broadband provisioning type is applicable.

If it's a straightforward installation, they'll pop up before your Sky installation to do their bit. They did mine 2 days after I put my order in.
