Wifi wont conect to my laptop

Have put the wifi address and password on my laptop, but it wont conect. Help please.

@BrendaNewton48 Does your laptop have an Ethernet port and do you have a spare cable you can use to try connecting with it that way!

Allows to see if you only have a wireless wi-fi issue for connecting!

If not can you say white or black sky hub, white is Sky Max, black is the sky Broadband hub!

@BrendaNewton48 See the link below, use you app and in advanced see if it is WPA3-T adjust down to WPA2-PSK mode?

You may have to stop the 5Ghz band as a temp to get it connected, but do the wpa first! Once connected and if you did have to stop the 5Ghz put it back on!

@BrendaNewton48 Is this all a new installation for sky broadband, or has your laptop worked on it previous?

My laptop has always worked with any provider included sky, but had sky stream put in on Monday  and has not worked since.

@BrendaNewton48 Stream should not effect the laptop especially if it was connected before to that Sky Max hub that you have!

I was on Virgin for the last 6yrs, the hub was fitted Moday with all my new tv equipment. Its working on my phone and ipad but not my laptop.

@BrendaNewton48 It's kind off pointing towards the hub and your laptiop are just not playing, see the link on post 4 above and you run that with the MySky app on your phone and adjust as per the link. You would have been possibly better with the sky Broadband Hub the previous one but it is hard to say!

Does the laptop see the wireless sky name at all when you say find the wireless networks to connect too! If yes does it fail when you try to enter the password for the network?

Yes the sky address and passwoed are on my laptop, it just says cant connect to hub when I try to connect.

@BrendaNewton48 The sky name/password are on the bottom off the sky Hub, or also the card supplied if one was in the box!

@BrendaNewton48 Your laptop has kept the connection then and you say go connect and it fails to do so, have you managed to use the MySky app from the link above on your phone so see what the setting is on the sky Max hub for the wireless securities!
