Wifi speed has droppe

My Wifi speed has dropped from 34 MBPS to 4MBPS and this is after a router reboot and channel change

@Maddog180169 What channel did you change? and was your reboot a power off/on again. Any specific reason you channel changed!

Changed both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz channels - 2.4Ghz tried channels 1-13 5.0Ghz tried channels 80Mhz Ch36, 40Mhz Ch36 and 40 Mhz Ch44.

Reboot was a full power down, left without power for 2 minutes ad plugged back in again.

Tried channel changing to see if it made any difference , no such luck - have set 2.4Ghz back to Auto and %Ghz back to 80Mhz Ch36

Fast.com reporting wifi speed as 3.0Mps and I am next to the router 😞

Please ignore this thread - issue has been resolved - my oldest kid went out tonight and not before he decided to download a whole host of games from his steam folder and left it runnning - turned his PC off and lo and behold speed was restored.

@Maddog180169 So you have the future and are aware, ideal on the 2.4Ghz CH 1,6,11 and on your 5Ghz CH36 at 80Mhz wide, that is where you want them to be, Network is all shared, someone pulling in the background then as you sussed out kills what you want to do, everything has to be serviced, just imagine it as this, download takes 1 hour, you cannot use the phone in that time because the download is going on, you would be well P'd off!
