Wifi poor in one room - Sky wants me to pay more for an engineer!!

Had a Sky engineer out to my property yesterday to set up Fibre broadband.  Signal strength and speed great everywhere, apart from one room (where I work from home). The wifi signal is one bar and i'm getting 9Mbps speed. Engineer couldn’t fix the issue and advised to call Sky today.  Customer Service said I need to pay for Sky Boost for an engineer and there's nothing they can do.

This is appalling customer service, and after nearly 10 years of Sky (TV, broadband., etc) i'll be looking to go somewhere else. The Sky Wifi guarantee is a scam and I will make that known to everyone who thinks Sky is a good option.

Sky loans wireless booster hardware free under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of 'Broadband Boost' and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell them except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Phoning Sky to go through a telephone diagnosis is required to have a booster or pod allocated to the account. Inevitably some have leaked onto a certain auction site, but Sky won't offer support with using these.

Confusingly the 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above.

Perhaps worth noting that BT/EE, the main competitor for Sky, also charges an additional monthly amount for booster loan.
