Good afternoon I signed up for sky broadband but the wifi does not work in some rooms of the house. I told the engineer who came to install the Sky TV system and she said to contact Sky to ask for boosters. I haven't been able find a way to do this by telephone or online option so am writing it here. Please can you get back to me asap with what I need to do as the current situation is unsatisfactory. Thanks in advance for your help, Sarah Owen.

Sky loans wireless booster hardware free under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of 'Broadband Boost' and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell them except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Inevitably some have leaked onto a certain auction site, but Sky won't offer support with using these.
Confusingly the 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above.

Thank you for trying to help. I still don't understand why I have paid for wifi in every room and it doesn't work and it seems impossible to actually contact anyone from the company to sort it out? Why did the engineer tell me to contact Sky to get boosters if I can't do that?
Does anyone have a phone number I could ring to speak to someone at Sky about this problem please?

Find out more@SarahOwen wifi coverage is down to three main factors first the layout of your home, secondly what is built out of - wifi signals lose power passing through walls - and lastly the level of interference from other wifi networks. Every home is different but you can do a lot by making sure the hub is in the best possible position which is as high as you can get it so the signal isnt blocked by furniture or radiators and the like.
In many homes a single wifi router is still not sufficent to provide usable wifi in every room so you need something more. ISPs sell add-on packages to get boosters etc for which they charge a premium Sky are no different You can buy your own kit and use that if you prefer which can work out cheaper in the long run. Sky dont actually promise usable WiFi coverage in every room if you read the small print but I can understand that was what you thought you were buying.
If the engineer was driving a Sky van and promised a free booster talk to Sky as they should honour that but if as is quite likely the engineer was from the network operator Openreach they were simply mistaken. When calling Sky stay on the line dont accept offers of texts etc and the bot will route you to a human.
