Wifi not connecting to a 4k camera 10 feet away outside

I have just purchased a CCTV 4k camera which is situated approximately 10 feet away from the router.

While setting up the camera indoors it works great, but as soon as I mount it on the wall outside, approximately 10 feet away it loses all connectivity

Quite possibly: there's significant wireless attenuation through a typical wall, particularly for 5Ghz signal which a 4K camera may well be using.
