Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Gem911 each home is different but there are things you can do . First check is that your booster is in the optimum place which is halfway berween the location of the Sky hub and where you need the signal as the booster needs a decent connection to do anything useful. Next is to makecsure tge hub is out in the open and not under or behind anything that can block its signal.
Once you have done those things and tgecsigbal is still poor upstairs you msy have to consider spending some money as there are limits to what the basic kit an ISP like Sky can provide. Sky do have a new addon called Wifi Max which comes with a new hub and up to 3 extender pods if you need them after an engineer has checked your set up. This costs £7.50 a month and isnt compatable with Sky Q boxes.
Alternatively you can do as I do myself which is to connect a third party whole home Wifi kit of my own and turn off the hub's wifi.
