Wifi is incredibly slow, Google wifi speed meter confirms it, but Sky built in meter says otherwise

My wifi has been unbelievably slow over the last few months and I have followed all the instructions suggested on the website (keeping it clear from other items, close to the office, etc). When I go on the 'Check my broadband/wifi' service checker on Sky it always says it is working fine and there are no known problems in the area, but when I use the Wifi speed test on Google it says the connection is slow (3.22 Mbps download 9.34 Mbps upload - I have the Sky Full Fibre 100 package). I feel like I am being gaslit by Sky.

The Sky test doesn't cover wifi does it? Just the external connection.

What kind of speed do you get over ethernet?

@Ktorala Your google speed testing, are you doing it all by the wireless wi-fi connecting to the sky hub! Below all about the speeds from sky!

I have the same issue but I believe it's down to the booster. I've come on to get answers but there isn't any. 

Are you using a booster too?

A 'booster' might well sacrifice speed for range.  The main point is that 'testing' using a wireless device isn't a test at all: all WiFi is zero Mbs on the other side of a few walls.

Boosters are a bit rubbish compared to a proper mesh and as already mentioned above, they will halve wifi bandwidth (because they have to retransmit everything) and depending on positioning they might also struggle. Is it halfway between you and the router?
