I noticed when trying to download a game onto my xbox series x that my download speed seemed capped at around 90-100mbps when I am paying for the ultrafast plus fibre to the property package, so expect at least 400mbps.
When testing my wifi, i get 400-500mbps, so it appears to only be an issue with devices running off the ethernet connection, both capped at around 100, which is bizarre as it should be the other way around realistically.
I am using cat 6 ethernet direct from the sky max hub to laptop and xbox, and have tried the standard "unplug/reset/turn off and on". We've only been in the property around 6/7 weeks and it was running at full speed when we first got the internet up and running so i'm unsure what could be causing the downtrend in speeds since none of the equipment or positioning has changed.
Any ideas would be greatfully appreciated!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@CharlieB34 ethernet ports have preset speeds although the xbox has a gigabit port it sounds like something innthe connection chain is limiting it to 100Mb/s. The Sky hub defaults to gigabit ethernet so unless someone has changed the setting it is unlikely to be that. If the connection goes via a switch or similar that is a likely culprit otherwise check the settings on the console. Another possibility is a break on one of the 8 cores in the cable.
