Wifi at Bottom of Garden

Hi,

I am new to Sky and only have Sky Broadband so no TV package at all. My package is Sky Broadband Ultrafast Plus and Sky Wifi Max.

I want to be able to work in my garden room at the bottom of my garden about 50ft away from my house and the wifi does not reach there. I am currently have a long extension lead down there from the house but will soon put in a more permanent a power line down there from the house. Any suggestions on what's the best way to do that and what equipment I might need?

Thanks,

Raj

External grade ethernet cable is the best solution: this can even be armoured for additional resilience.  For a really permanent solution, armoured pre-terminated fibreoptic cable isn't impossibly expensive these days.

Thanks Timmy, forgive me but I'm not very technically minded. What would I then plug into the ethernet cable at the garden room end?

As a temporary measure, is there a way to use the power cable work? I understand that is the case but I'm not sure if I have misunderstood that.

An ethernet switch and a wireless access point is the most flexible combination.

Powerline network adapters may be viable, but the power supply to a shed should be on its own RCD which may affect potential speed.
