Wifi / Broadband Reception poor in parts of the house
My Wifi / Broadband connection is fine in the room where my router is. However, as I take my tablet or laptop to another part of the house , they each lose connection with the router. This means the children cannot sit in the bedrooms at the weekend and watch a kids youtube video in their bedrooms, Is there any way of boosting the signal to other parts of house?
Thanks very much

Re: Wifi / Broadband Reception poor in parts of the house
Well, I have moved into a different property, bringing my Sky with me, so it was newly set up in my home again. My new home has solid brick walls, not cavity walls. I have not had any problem with my Wifi in any previous building.

Re: Wifi / Broadband Reception poor in parts of the house
@CharlieDevonBoy a new property with solid internal walls will be fsr more difficult to network with Wifi and the standard Sky hub which is all thst is included in your basic pzckage. If you have Sky Q boxes that won't connect Sky may provide a booster or two but that is all.
You could buy Sky's Wifi Max so,ution which might help as if you need it Sky will send out an engineer to see if up to 3 extender pods might help, that package costs £7.50 a month. Alternatively you could buy your own third party wifi kit which is likely to work out cheaper in the long run. There are also other possible solutions like running ethernet cables to sistant roooms it all depends on the layout of the house and what speeds you need where. Powerline Networking thst uses the homes mains wiring is another possibility.
