WiFi upstairs poor since fibre upgrade

We had normal wifi with WiFi boost until 28th October when we were upgraded to fibre. Yes the download speed etc is more than double however the signal we get upstairs particularly during peak times like evenings is shocking. Never had a problem before upgrade to fibre. Every like box all on same place as previous with no changes. Any ideas without a WiFi booster, can't see why when we now have a better service we should need additional technology installed to be able to use it.

Repeated posts in this forum suggest the white Max Hub underperforms in some properties.

@Lou182 You still have your original Black Sky Broadband Hub or a sky Q Hub, that was used prior to your upgrade and that is what is connected? Did sky only send you an Ethernet Cable for the ONT connection?

Re: WiFi upstairs poor since fibre upgrade

We have the black broadband hub and main sky Q box still. Always used smart TVs upstairs for thing like IPlayer and Netflix but not they just buffer or don't load. But as mentioned seem

better in the day. So for example I worked from home today and had tv on in my room for background noise but as soon as 5pm came signal poor.

@Lou182 You should try to see if it is lack of data supplied to hub or poor wifi, with nothing changed you would need to test speed at the hub before the problem and when you have the issue, record the two events time wise! What speed package did you get with your fibre upgrade?
