WiFi speed slower than hub speed
Hi there - when I test the wi fi speed I am getting in my house - using fast.com - it comes up as between 75 and 100 MBS. I am on the Fast 500 package. When I test the broadband through the sky app it says that I am getting 506 MBS. I have tried turning the router on and off and sometimes it gets up to 20mbs immediately after doing this but then settles back down at less than 100mbs. Can you suggest a resolution? Thank-you

Re: WiFi speed slower than hub speed
@RichardTho WiFi spedds are determined by the layout and tyoe of construction of your home. You can buy and use your own wifi equipment if you really want 500Mb/s in every room but before spending money consider tge speed you actually need as 100Mb/s is more tgan amp, ecfor almost all domestic usage. The only things thst spedd up with extra bandwidth is downloads.

Re: WiFi speed slower than hub speed
@RichardTho Until you do an Ethernet test and establish the fact that you are up near the 500Mb/s on you FF500 sky connection and also the testing Device that you Ethernet connect with is at least capable of doing so then if sky say you are getting the full speed that is what they are going to go on, Wireless Wi-Fi testing has way to many variables to be considered, but you do need only ONE high speed return if your Wi-Fi device is good enough to also get you up speed wise, and if you do that within 4 to 6 foot away from the sky Hub worth seeing what it returns!
