WiFi not working in all rooms

Hi,

I have recently upgraded reluctantly after being given an option to upgrade to fibre for free. The hub I got wasn't good enough!

Since upgrading the quality of WiFi around my house has not been as good as it was before fibre.

Until you have sorted WiFi that works well in every room can you refund and not take my monthly broadband bill as you mentioned in the contract note if it didn't work in every room.

please let me know how you will resolve this. My wife and I work from home which is now causing problems.

I have been a sky customer for several years, I have TV, Broadband on 4 mobile phones with you please resolve asap.

@Willwo01 you are not talking to Sky by posting in the forum but sorry tontell you Sky will not stop charging you as they never guaranteed WiFi in every room unless you hought their WiFi Max package if you did they will send you a boister if you call in.

. Poor WiFi coverage is probably the most common question we get in the forum. In many homes a single Sky hub cannot provide a usable wifi signal in every room due to the layout and type of construction of the property especially in older homes. Assuming the hub is in the best possible position which is out in the open on a surfsce then the only answer is additional wifi sources.

Your choice.is to either buy Sky's add-on WiFi Max bundle which can supply up to 3 extenders see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max or buy your own wifi system and use that instead of the Sky hub's WiFi.

@Willwo01 If you get time, can you say what sky Hub you went to with the FF Full Fibre upgrade, linked below the sky types so take a look, would be good to know the Pre-Post change, also the ONT Position derives were the new Hub goes due to the short cable, the position off the hub can cause a nightmare to begin wireless wifi wise!

Re: WiFi not working in all rooms

Had sky broadband hub as part of the free upgrade but it was useless so had to upgrade at a cost to Sky Max Hub.

Re: WiFi not working in all rooms

@Willwo01 Thanks, as you are now a sky Max customer, not sure if you also have the added monthly extra payment, you will see that on your bill, so have linked the sky Max info for you to take a look at, it does require even on the very first extra Pod a call to sky to get so heads up on that!
