WiFi not strong enough to WFH

Hi, when we switched over to this wifi I was told it would be better for me for working from home, however I have got a booster right next to my laptop and it still cuts up in zoom calls, the wifi also doesn't reach every room in the house as it was placed on the front window which then doesn't reach the back room, however the house is tiny only a semi detached 3 bed so there shouldn't be an issue really with distance as both front and back rooms are next to one another. Is there something you can help with to get the connection etc made better? Many thanks

That's the wrong place for a 'booster' because these devices are actually 'repeaters' or 'relays' and are no more powerful than your own laptop or the Sky Hub itself.

The intention is that the unit sits halfway between source (Hub) and client (laptop) and passes the signal in either direction, so effectively halving the distance being broadcast over.
