WiFi not reaching all rooms

I have had Sky Max installed to my new property and the WiFi is not reaching all rooms. Both bedrooms do not have WiFi and I noticed over the weekend, the WiFi in the kitchen was dropping out now and again

@Des641

Try going through this to see if it helps:

If not and if you have Wi-Fi Max on your account then Sky will supply up to 3 pods as you can read about here:

Re: WiFi not reaching all rooms

I've got the same issue, my hub is currently sat on a little table practically in an empty room . 5 feet behind it there's no signal & 15 ft ahead my speed drops from 911 to 90

Re: WiFi not reaching all rooms

The links provided by  @caesarome are very helpful re improving WiFi signal.

I am currently with an ISP that supplies NO broadband equipment. You are on your own as to what and how you set up your home network.

I think that Sky with some 7 million broadband customers do a great job in offering guarantees like WiFi in every room!

However, @Des641 & @RC2023 ... if the "off the shelf" equipment Sky offer does not meet your needs I would suggest looking at a DIY home network.

In my 3 storey home, I have very strong WiFi in every room.

Furthest room from the hub on the top floor,  speeds average 200 down/ 80 up,  which means the  children can work from home whenever they visit.

If I used ethernet cables to connect each Asus node my speeds would be significantly better, but wireless connection and backhaul is more than adequate.

C430 Samsung soundbar with subwoofer

Re: WiFi not reaching all rooms

@RC2023 While you are in the compare mode and if doing like for like for the SR213 to the SR203 any chance you can PM me some figures. Before you pack it all up and return to sky!

Re: WiFi not reaching all rooms

Ive been in touch with sky a couple of times regarding the broadband once via webchat , where i was told something was being done & 30 minutes on the phone which was a waste of time.

i enquired about getting sky with ultimate tv. I was offered a"heavily discounted price"  skys words not mine of £49 per month! .

i already pay £50 per month for the broadband so theres no chance

What's 'guaranteed' is a small refund if the specified minimum WiFi speed isn't achieved: no ISP actually guarantees coverage because providing hardware and support time to do so could easily exceed their profit margin on many individual subscriptions.

We’ll check the setup in your home if you’re not getting WiFi in every room. To improve your WiFi coverage, we might send you a Sky Max Pod WiFi extender or book a WiFi engineer visit.

Still can’t get WiFi in every room? We’ll give you money back that you’ve paid for one month's broadband subscription, including Sky WiFi Max. And, if you want, you can cancel Sky WiFi Max without paying any early termination charges.
