WiFi looks fine in app but poor service

We have checked our WiFi on MySky and all fine, all tests passed but in reality service is awful - phones keep dropping off WiFi or show they are on WiFi but no service; iPads can't connect, laptop loses WiFi mid teams calls

does anyone have any suggestions other than rebooting which we have done?

thank you!

We have had the same problem since last week. Has that been similar for you?

Re: WiFi looks fine in app but poor service

I have this too. Just been away and apps work fine on other services . Only just moved to Sky and it's really frustrating

Re: WiFi looks fine in app but poor service

Below is the answer I had on another thread and so far it's worked for me.🤞

Check your Broadband Shield settings in the MySky app or using a web browser. Change to 18 if it is set to anything else

Tip: It was easier to find  the broadband shield by signing in on my laptop rather via the app on my phone

Re: WiFi looks fine in app but poor service

Thank you, sorry how do you change this under broadband shield? They don't seem related, I know I'm missing something

Re: WiFi looks fine in app but poor service

I found this, unfortunately we have children so can't set this to 18.

Re: WiFi looks fine in app but poor service

When I signed in on my lap top I paged down under my account and it was a button called broadband sheild.    Mine had been recently put in and had a box tocked 15 ( for teens) so i ticked the 18 box instead. As I'm newish to Sky I assume this was the way technician set it up.

Re: WiFi looks fine in app but poor service

I don't see why Broadband shield would randomly stop all my wiff devices from working, including a nest themmosat, but allow wired devices. Either way, mine is disabled so I don't think this is relevant.
