WiFi booster speed is slow

As the title says my WiFi booster upload/download is significantly slower than when a device is connected directly to the main router. 

I previously had a slower broadband package and it didn't matter which "box" a device ran on as they both ran at the same speed. Since upgrading I get roughly 200mbps when connected to the router but I get around 75mpbs when the WiFi booster is on. 

If of any note, this is around the same speed my old WiFi used to run at before the upgrade.

A booster is only as good as the backhaul link to it. Your are almost always going to experience a loss of speed to a booster because it has to feed off a WiFi connection back to the Sky hub so essentially the available bandwidth of that particular WiFi network gets cut in half.
