Wi-Fi signal is rubbish

I switched for EE to Sky to save £4-5 p/m and to get faster speeds. However, the Wi-Fi signal is absolutely terrible. The old EE router was far superior. I only used an off the shelf repeater in the farthest corner to help push the signal to an Echo in my shed.  Now with Sky, I can basically only get decent signal strength/speed to my devices if in the same room as the router. This Sky router must be an 'out of box' failure and should be replaced. It can't be that much poorer than the 'older' tech that was in the EE one...

The EE/BT routers tend to have better coverage than Sky, likely due to the different parts & construction used by the two companies. If you have Sky Boost or Sky WiFi Max then you can get free boosters to sort the coverage out
