Wi-Fi keeps dropping out - Sky Max

Purchased sky max thinking it would improve signal & speed but it hasnt. Small 3-bed semi-detached house which worked ok with EE, but in one bedroom the signal constantly cuts out and struggles with connection. Could it be that my neighbours are on the same frequency as I can see two other Sky connections with a full strength? I've tried a basic range extender but this didn't help, perhaps it's not compatible?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Re: Wi-Fi keeps dropping out - Sky Max

Still having major issue with the signal dropping in one bedroom, the signal strength is only 2 bars(full 4 bars on a neighbouring Sky network) but works ok until it drops.

Re: Wi-Fi keeps dropping out - Sky Max

Can you assist please. It's odd that the broadband signal drops in one bedroom on 2 bars. Yet I get a full signal from a neighbouring property?

I've bought a tp-link extender but it didn't work, I don't know if it's compatible?

Now using my iPhone hot spot every day.

Yes, Sky Max. I tried the Dual Band AC750 Mbps Extender  Not full fibre, just fibre to the box in the road.

Re: Wi-Fi keeps dropping out - Sky Max

I'm also still getting a neighbouring Sky WiFi on the top of the list when I search for Networks.

My son is using my mobile every night to access the internet, using my data.
Is there a Sky booster or WiFi extender I could try or anything else I can do please?

Re: Wi-Fi keeps dropping out - Sky Max

Yeah called them if you are paying extra like £3 or £10 a month the can send a pod out but I have sent mine back as I was only getting 100mbs what I don't really want so just going to used what I have now and do it myself but it's up to you
