Wi-Fi issue with devices connecting to sky wi-fi extenders i.e. Sky TV Box

Recently moved from BT to Sky and in theory using the same fibre infrastrucutre. However, Sky seems to be using their sky tv box as an extender and I am finding that devices that connect to the extender, rather than the Hub have intermittent and slow wi-fi and the apps on Sky TV keep glitching. Anyone else having this issue? Is it possible to dictate where the devices connect to? Any help appreciated.

This can happen yes, there is no way to select which devices connect to each Sky node but you can disable the hotspot feature in the Sky Q box settings.
