Why would one flat have different speeds listed than the rest of the building?

I am about to move into a new flat and when looking at what packages SKy can offer I see the Superfast package with estimated download times of 15-17Mbps and upload times of 8-9 Mbps, and a minimum speed guarantee of 13Mbps.

However the other flats in the same building, when looking at what they can get, show an estimated download of 66-74Mbps and estimated upload of 17-19Mbps, with a minimum guarantee of 60Mbps. This is for the same Superfast broadband package, same price as well, only differece is the one I get shown for my flat is 1/5th as good while all the other flats in my building get shown reasonable speeds.

Hopefully someone will be able to contact me about this. Thanks.

Just to confim if I'm understanding correctly, are you saying that the speeds I get shown for my flat are not inline with what you see in that table, and that according to the information in that table, the speeds should be more inline with the speeds shown for the rest of the building?

Thanks for your time

That would be my understanding.  However the upload on adsl would be 0.8-0.9 Mbps not 8-9Mbps Sky will confirm the actual speeds but your flar should not be much different to the others

I can't enlarge the image without it becoming blurry . Do the vdsl rows say 80Mbps ?

If so it may be that the cabinet was temporarily over subscribed. Its showing available now.

Yes the VDSL rows do say 8- for the high column.

I'll call Sky and see if I can't get a solution

Thanks

Yep.  Just logged on using my tablet  The speed you were quoted is indicative of an adsl 2+ connection (copper all the way to the exchange
