Have you reported the fault with the broadband to Sky, assuming the broadband is with Sky?

Im in the same boat.. the amount of sky customers down seems to be wider than the "local area" mentioned in my text.

Well local community posts are showing outages outside of my village and up to 20mile away. If that's really the case I wouldn't say it's a local problem..

Back on line now .Wow that was frustrating .Had my gripe and looking back it was not Sky's fault .
I have had Sky Glass for coming up to a month now .When I order Sky Glass everyone told me not to and stick with Sky Q I would regret getting Sky Glass .I must say I love the Sky Glass .I was a bit concerned that you could not record on Sky Glass but now I have got use to the play list .I do not miss not being able to record. The play list is good once you get use to it.I personally would not go back to Sky Q now I much prefer Sky Glass
Has long has your broadband does not go down that is 😉

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Rocker12 I have had Glass and Stream since soon after launch and wouldn't go back either . There is a risk of broadband going down but that is quite rare in practice especially as lines are migrated to full fibe. You can link a Glass TV to a mobile hotspot assuming you have lots of data spare.
Q of course is not immune from issues especially in bad weather and given there are no plans to replace the satellites its life is limited.

The UK is around 800+ miles long, each telephone exchange can often serve towns & villages within about 5-10 miles and then those smaller exchanges are often wired up to bigger ones that can cover 25+ miles especially if you are in a rural area. So yes if you and a few local villages are experiencing issues that is indeed a local problem rather than an area or national problem.
