Why have Sky broadband speeds gotten so bad
Speed was not good, but I live in Wales. [Removed] Intial speed was 30 -36 so I upgraded to have "up to 75". Imagine my surprise when my UPGRADE dropped to 26.4. I have complained through the available routes for a few weeks, cancel the whole thing unless I have support. Nothing, some young Indian lady I think, bless her had no clue about my problems.
Whoever is on this community support wise I will cancel as in stop the direct debit. One would imagine that after 30 years of paying on time every month, a litle help.
All I want is to speak to an adviser that know what their job. The Scottish folk knew their stuff.

You would have been poorly advised if someone told you that would be an improvement. 'Up to 40' and 'up to 80' Mbs are both wholesale FTTC speed bands: if the copper portion of the line is too long or too poor quality to handle 40Mbs then it's definitely not going to do 80Mbs. In the absence of FTTP, no Openreach ISP could do better.

All that will do is cause your broadband service to be suspended and debt to accrue, eventually ended in a legal recovery process.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
