Why do Sky constantly lie and blame their customers before themselves?
We've used Sky Broadband in our household for a few years now.
Over the past year or so we've been noticing the wifi dropping out tons more and our speeds (which used to be around 100mbps) drop down to 30mbps max, most of the time its down at 12mbps.
We reached out to support a few months ago to ask why this is and they simply said "You must have too many devices on your wifi, that's what is slowing down your wifi." This is entirely false. I've done several tests with every device except the device I'm testing off.
I phoned up again a few days after the tests and complained to a man named George. The second I started complaining he just... hung up? I called to complain about him as well, was told "We don't take complaints.".
A few months ago when almost the whole countries wifi went down I complained via X (formerly Twitter) to @SkyHelpTeam and they replied telling me to check the sky home status checker (which is always a useless tool) and that it's probably a fault with us. I then replied with a long response asking why they always blame their customers first before taking accountability and they told me in the most unprofessional way that they weren't blaming us.
They also claim to be the UK's best provider even though several surveys show sky in around 5th place. Which is classed as a form of false advertising, which is illegal.
Sky is just a terrible company overall.
🙂

Re: Why do Sky constantly lie and blame their customers before themselves?
@rayen strong claims based on minimal evidence however the solution is simple just move to another ISP but before doing so you msy find it useful to read this recent post by Ofcom - the regulator - https://www.ofcom.org.uk/phones-and-broadband/service-quality/latest-telecoms-and-pay-tv-complaints-...
Oddly Sky have the lowest number of complaints of all of the major ISPs which doesunderme your argument. Hope you find a more reliable supplier.
