Re: Wi-Fi rubbish
No need for two separate threads. What's happening when you try to call Sky?

Can't find a number that gets me through to anyone that can help. Tried all the stuff it tells me online. Says connection looks ok on all tests but it isn't.

@PaulBryan
The current methods for contacting Sky are below and depending on your reason for making contact some methods will be more appropriate than others……
🟦 📞 Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or your Sky Talk landline. The forum doesn’t allow the display of other numbers. Other official numbers to Sky from the UK are 03 numbers which are normally inclusive from non Sky phones.
All calls will start automated which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.
🟦 online help via this link
https://www.sky.com/help
If necessary a number may be visible at the end of the correct help flow.
🟦 Sky Assistant 💬 should also be available via
https://www.sky.com/help
for most service issues and gives you 24/7 help and a quick response. It should provide you with multiple choice options based on your problem and will provide troubleshooting steps to fix any service issues.
🟦 Social Media You can also get in touch via the messaging services on: Facebook, Instagram, or X (links at the bottom of the forum page).
🟨Note ~ ROI customers If you’re in the ROI make sure the flag in the bottom right of the link is showing the correct flag and change if required. The Sky Ireland phone lines are closed at a weekend.

Re: Why Wi-Fi problems keeps buffering and it’s not been that good
@PaulBryan if you have 5 minutes, suggest you watch this video or others like it to see why your WiFi is not great and how it can be improved.
Sky has over 5 million residential customers and caters well for the vast majority of them.
Maybe Sky should provide 2 x Netgear Orbi 970 mesh systems to all its customers. I suspect that Netgear Orbi 970s would address all WiFi range issues. Only problem is that they cost in the region of £1000 for a pair!
Sky can supply boosters or extenders, but I don't that they will be as good as the Netgear Orbi 970 😊
ps.... I paid £600 for my 3 x Asus XT9s and I have fantastic speed and coverage on all 3 floors of my home, but you really do get what you pay for.
Now TV Sports + Entertainment + Cinema + Ultra Boost @ £34 pm (till April 2026)
1000/115 FTTP (Aquiss) to Zyxel DX3301
3 x Asus XT9s + + RT-AC58U V3 for WiFi (AP mode)
65" Samsung S92C OLED TV
C430 Samsung soundbar with subwoofer
6 other streaming TVs
43+ network connected devices

ISPs would be delighted if they could leverage 10% of that as an annual profit margin on the average UK broadband subscription...
Unfortunately ISP router hardware specification is one area where cut-throat competition has directly worked against consumer interests.
