@Andycook21 if you are connecting the PS using Wifi thst is likely to be the problem. Wifi is subject to interference which causes issues while gaming due to packet loss. Ideally use an ethernet cable, failing that powerline networking can work as that uses your homes mains wiring to carry the signal.. Alternatively try to improve the wifi signal using the hints here
