What is the minimum download speed of Superfast

Hi, I have SkyBroadband Superfast and thinking of leaving to go to BT, or TalkTalk for a lower cost, but what should be the minimum download speed be under my current agreement?

I'm getting between 30.3 and 27mb/s due to how far we are from the Cabinet (21):-

I don't think any ISP would 'guarantee' more than about 25Mbs on that line, and they might choose not to promise anything at all.

Keep in mind that speed isn't guaranteed at all: the guarantee is of a small refund and the option to leave a minimum contract term.

Thanks,

When we had Openreach come round a while ago, because of the distance from the cabinet they said there's not a lot which can be done until cooper cables (I think) are installed.

I could have virgin, but I think where they come in the house (and down the drive), is not going to be right for us.

@Otterman FTTP on demand is available if you are prepared to pay for it! If and when Fibre does become available to get you off the old fttc that could be the way, you can also register interest on the OR site.

FTTPoD costs in excess of £3K just to have a survey conducted to establish the actual installation cost: it's essentially unviable for the vast majority of householders.

@Otterman the other issue with FTTPoD is very few ISPs actually sell it these days as it is a huge hassle certainly Sky dont. If you need faster speeds look at mobile broadband if you have a decent mobilecsignal. Starlink works most every where but up until recdntly were not accepting new customers in the Sough East of England.
