The engineers came and could not get cable to my house as connection points in street all in the wrong place. what happens now ? Old broadband and phone get cut off tonight,. Tried the autobot chat on sky ,uesless and no help. tried phoning but got useless Ai voice and got no further forward. Does Sky have a help line with actual people. For a new customer found the help line absouletly terrible.

That shouldn't happen under the one-touch-switch system, but it would if you've actively cancelled with the current supplier.

Re: What happens if engineer can not get cable from street to house ?
@Graham197 Are you currently connected on the copper, as before if you contacted sky to do a OTS, then the other ISP you have keeps the lights on until sky get's you, the system is not 100% fool proof but that is what is supposed to happen so if CF CityFibre takes 3 months to get you connected then the old ISP keeps you online until then!
If you called and cancelled the other that's it all bets are off!

We had a similar problem a few months. Except our was a blocked underground duct. Whole street had to be dug up again and cars had to be moved. Took Openreach months.
