What ONT do sky install for gigafast is it 2.5gb?

Hello

i know there's an extra-charge option to get Openreach to install a 2.5gbe interfaced ONT

I'm guessing sky don't do that/have a way to ask for that?

(Trying to decide if I get an install from an ISP who does then cancel within the cooling off period and then relight the ONT via sky)

@anon412332 it is Openreach who providecthe ONT not Sky even if the install is done by one of Sky's engineers. Sky do not offercany customisation of the installation but given Openreach would change ONT at no cost if at some future date you ordered a servicecthat required thst it seems pointless complication of involving a third party isp. 

Currently Openreach only offer GPON fibre where up to 30 lines share a 2.48Gb/s fibre download buying anything over 900Mb/s also seems somewhat pointless.

@anon412332 Will not make a blind bit off difference if the hub connecting only has a 1Gb/s NIC interface, that is what it will sync at!

I had gigafast broadband installed January last year and this is the  optical network terminal box i  got

Not until they start reselling FTTP faster than gigabit, no.  I guess it's possible that Openreach will eventually begin fitting the faster ONTs as standard rather than revisiting to upgrade where necessary.
