Hi guys!
I was a Sky broadband customer until 2016, and today I've just received a welcome letter as if I had just joined Sky again, but I never ordered any service.
I contacted support and they told me that I was incorrectly billed back then and I should've received a letter regarding that, which I never did.
Is this some sort of scam?
Or even if I was not charged correctly 6 years ago as they are claiming, can they even do that now?
There are no payment details on my account anyway and I won't be paying anything, but I still want to understand what's going on.
Thanks!

Was the letter addressed to you personally or was it addressed to the householder?

Did you ring Sky Customer Services via a known genuine number or on a number mentioned in the letter?
You don't actually say whether Sky state they owe you a refund, or you owe them. I'd have thought if they believe you owe them, and you haven't moved house, they'd have been on your case 6 years ago.

Thank you for the reply!
The letter is addressed to me although my surname is not even correct. But they believe I owe them.
I contacted their support via Facebook messenger.
