Web sites failing to load

I had fibre installed 25/7 worked perfect until 2wks ago when I started to get certain websites falling to be reached, after speaking to Sky was sent a new Router lasted for 2hrs and the problem reappeared. I have found if I access the router and reset the Gateway I can get these sites to work but it doesn't last.

Anyone know of a solution

@Dawso10 thst is an unusual fault is it always the same sites? Something to try is to disable tge Sky Broadband Shield web filter to see if tgst clears the fault. Adding a public DNS address to tge network settngs on your device is also worth trying, go into the networksettings for the Sky connection set the DNS to manual and add the following two addresses tontge list 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 which are Googles fast public DNS service.

 

if still stuch post again with a couple examples of the addresses.

Thanks for the response I have had webshield turned off since the start.

Could you please explain to me exactly what I need to do to change the DNS router settings.

@Dawso10  This is not done on the router this is done on your own devices to change the DNS they use.

Hi

I have phones , laptop, PC, tablets, and some IOTs so not possible to change the DNS gateways

I left system of overnight but still failing to access certain sites and apps including Sky app but resetting the Gateway seems to cure the problem for a short while.
