Weak wifi signal

Have moved from BT - ADSL, ~60Mbps. I had had strong WiFi signal throughout the house. Openreach installed the new Sky fiber 300 router in a different part if the house. - in the kitchen. I now get 300Mbps in the kitchen, about 150Mbps in the next room, but elsewhere in the house the singal is slow, weak and drops regularly. Sky have supplied a Wifi Max router but this has made no difference. Am i best getting the fuber socket re positioned in a different part of the house, or should I ask for signal boosters from Sky? It feels as if the Sky router is inferior to BTs - any thoughts on this?

@EmyrG Poor WiFi coverage is probably the most common question we get in the forum. While it maybe possible to get the ONT unit moved it  there are practical limitations as the fibre feed is not like a phone cable it cannot go round tight corners etc. somewhat easier though is to useca longer ethernet cable from the ONT to the Sky hub and just relocate that. Even just moving the hub higher in the kitchen might work especially if it's signal is currently partly blocked by appliances etc You would need to ask Sky as to whether moving the ONT is possible and how much it would cost.

if you have bought Sky's WiFi Max bundle you can ask for extender pods but if your property has solid internal walls they may not work that well as they need to strong signal from the hub.
