I have been with Sky for over 7 years now, and now that ftth is available, I would like to upgrade. When I logged in, and tried to upgrade, I got the screen message, that broadband wasn't available at my address! As a test, I logged out, changed my location via my vpn, went to the sky site again, and without logging in, tried to see if ftth was available where I live. When asked, I put the postcode in for my road, and voila, I got the screen message, that it was indeed available, all the way to 900mb speed. However, as soon as I logged into my account, the message changed to 'not available' again.
I have queried this on and off for a year now. Mainly because I was chatting to the Openreach infrastructure engineers who were installing the ftth cables, at the access grid... on my gatepost, 20ft from my sky-hub. I can't fathom a reason as to why this situation exists, unless they have already given out all the leased connections from the exchange that Sky have where I live?
I will be out of contract on Aug 4th, and needless to say, I think I will be gone from Sky as well. The increased costs of my package are also influencing me, as they are now topping out at £184 a month, for tv, broadband, and calls. There used to be a bonus for being loyal to a company and it's services, but I don't see that any more, unfortunately...

Do you currently have Ultrafast 1 over G.fast from Sky? Unfortunately they don't have a sales path from there to FTTP.
