Hi all,
I was just wondering what everyone else's experience with Openreach has been like?
I placed my order 4 weeks ago with a go-live date of this coming Monday. The first engineers came out two weeks ago and started the internal works, noting that they'd need to drig up the pavement outside which was likely to take two weeks. Rather worryingly I then recieved a message from Sky to say that the installation was delayed until 17th August! Four days later however the team were here, digging the pavement and got all of the civils work done in one morning, just leaving the cable to be sliced on the outside of my house.
What are the chances now that the civils work is complete ahead of schedule that they'll get that final cable sliced and everything on in time. I've already cancelled my old Virgin fibre service, which ends at the end of next week, so I'm keen to get the new Sky FTTP up and running.

It depends where the underground duct is congested (read the notes) . If in digging they have decongested the ducts the hopefully the work can go
ahead . If they have to come back to unablock the ducts then that may explain any further delay. Note that the install stage is kci2 assured this is a more complex install
Again give sky a call for an update
