I think your right.
I had issue again this morning exactly one week from last time it went down. Whats the chances of that.
Once my contract is up its probably time to look elsewhere.

Over a month now away from Sky and no issues at all. It's definatley a Sky broadband problem.
Only way to fix it is to leave....

One of the reason I left Sky some years ago is they don't listen when reporting fauls!

Appreciate this is an old thread, but we have the same issue. After we upgraded from the regular fibre 72mb, to 150mb, it became incredibly unstable, even after the inital 2 week bedding in period. After a month or so sky agreed to swap the router, same issue persists... maybe not as regularly, but still happening. A few weeks later i installed a netgear gaming router, wifi was 99% more stable. Still not perfect, we had a drop today, but better. From never even looking at the router, to regularly rebooting it, now 'coping' with the odd blip, it is pretty poor. I suspect they use it as an up sell to the maintained wifi service to get extra cash from those who don't know better - that is something the agent offered me, which 'would resolve my issues'. Providing decent kit to customers would do that!

I have had this problem since my full fibre 150 was installed 18 months ago. Reported it to SKY tech support and followed all suggestions without resolution. I initially power cycled the router but found out that i could remove the WAN rj45 cable from port 4 and re connect after 5 seconds, all would return to normal. When my contract was due for renewal i contacted SKY retentions to negotiate a reduced monthly fee but they refused to budge on anythong under £28 a month. I was only willing to pay £20 for a service that is quite honestly unfit for purpose. SKY have known about this problem for over 18 months and have done nothing about it. I have now changed service provider.
