Virgin & Trooli both have Full Fibre to our Close

We are still managing on Sky Superfast - Sky have promised Full Fibre as soon as it is available to our Post Code area.

Virgin and Trooli have both laid Fibre cables to our close in the past three months. Virgin has installed cable junction boxes at the start of each of our driveways. When I ask Sky when we can expect Full Fibre they keep saying "It's not available in our area yet".

Question: How can I find out when Sky is going to offer a Full Fibre service to our postcode area?

Question: Is Sky able to piggyback the Virgin cables ?

Question: Can I lay Fibre cables to the Virgin junction box, and basically use their system to log onto my Sky account?

I have been a Sky customer for 25+ years and don't feel like swapping to Virgin or Trooli as their customer service is said to be appaling.

Any advice gratefully accepted.

Full fibre is down to openreach fibre roll out plan not individual isp's

If you enter your full address below and post the table and notes after removing your address from the hmage it will show the latest situation

Sky does not use any other network providers other than openreach and their link up with city fibre hasn't come to fruition yet

Re: Virgin & Trooli both have Full Fibre to our Close

Hey Cookie, Thanks for the prompt response.

Checked as you said : -

VDSL Range A - Unavailable

VDSL Range B - Unavailable

FTTP on Demand - Available

FTTP - Not Available - Exchange is not in a current fibre priority program

It's a bit misleading in that on one line it says FTTP is available / but not available on the next.

Guess I'll just have to keep checking from time to time

Thanks for the advice and link

Enjoy your evening

M

Fttp on demand is available but it is funded by the customer and the cost can be £10,000

You need to keep an eye on WBC FTTP appearing .  That is dnmestic wholesale full fibre

Re: Virgin & Trooli both have Full Fibre to our Close

May I ask if you want faster internet and have options to use Virgin Media and Trooli...why not use either of those 2.

Whats so special about Sky Fibre service??

Re: Virgin & Trooli both have Full Fibre to our Close

I'm guessing you work for Trooli or Virgin ??😂

Seriously, it's not such a huge issue at the moment, but that may change in the near future and I would have to consider a change

Re: Virgin & Trooli both have Full Fibre to our Close

Is it that obvious 😂

I get £50 referal each time i refer a customer to these to ISP.

I moved to Sky FTTP about a month ago and previously used Vigin Media iinternet 5+ years while Sky TV customer for 17+ years.

I can honestly say both Sky and Virgin media are equally bad and good at customer service. I have pulled hair out while talking to both on occasions.

Even better if you move to a new ISP, they throw the red carpet to welcome as a new customer promotion.
