Very low upload speeds (0.01 Mbps) and many requests timeout
Hi everyone,
I am making very little progress with Sky Support. For the last week or so, the upload speed shown by Ookla on multiple devices is 0.01 Mbps. Sometimes goes up to 0.1 or 0.2 (rarely). The download speeds are usually great (40-400 Mbps). The problem is that most web sites require some level of interactivity and with such low upload speeds, many requests time out. On so many sites, I have to do multiple log attempts to get connected (as an example).
I've done multiple resets on the router but always comes back to the same speed results.
One issue is that I can't get a wired connection to do the 3 wired speed tests required by support. Sky Support even say that even if I do prove slow speeds, they claim they can't control upload speeds.
The issue can be seen on all my devices over Wifi and it's been consistent for the last week or so.
I had even more serious connectivity issues in May and had no connection for over 2 weeks. Sky Support recorded little of the work that was done to fix that issue.
I bought an ethernet adapter in May but for some reason I can't get it to work now.
I do find it pretty ridiculous that Sky Support won't accept speed tests over wifi. I have tried them from many devices and from muliple locations. The download speeds are always good - it is just the upload speeed that is very low and consistently low. I don't see how the wifi could be an issue if I am seeing fast downloads.
Has anyone any advice? I can look into borrowing an ethernet adapter or testing my adapter with a different router but I don't know too many people who can help with this locally.
Thanks

Re: Very low upload speeds (0.01 Mbps) and many requests timeout
@NualaKK it is not yge issue Sky cannot control upload speds more that the network provider Openreach do not guarantee upload speeds so wont accept fault reports concerning them.
If you have black Sky hubs can you post its connnection stats as explained here Find your Sky Broadband router statistics

Thanks @Chrisee - these are the stats. I have to use my Mobile Broadband because Sky Broadband can't handle this much data.

Re: Very low upload speeds (0.01 Mbps) and many requests timeout
@NualaKK nothing apparently wrong with your connection as.the stats show data flowing normally on the WAN and the connection has been up for over 5 hours since the hub was last restarted. You are only using WiFi and the WiFi stats there look odd. Assuming you are using devices which are reasonably close to the hub could there be something causing interference? Failing that it could be a faulty hub.

Re: Very low upload speeds (0.01 Mbps) and many requests timeout
I tried setting up the Wifi so that the 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz signals were split into separate network SSIDs. I tested the speeds close to the router and further away (in another room). In all the cases, the stats were pretty similar with the upload speeds being very very low in all cases.
