Use a Skyq hub in another house

Long story short- my Nan is awaiting a new SkyQ hub delivery as hers is broken.  In the meantime, can I take the hub from my house to hers and will it work?

She is elderly and vulnerable and needs internet access to run certain equipment in her house.

@Emorris36 as long as it is a Sky hub then yes you could

Amazing thank you, yes they are both SkyQ hubs so I'll give it a go - just really need to get Nan back online ASAP.

Thank you

Re: Use a Skyq hub in another house

Unfortunately I couldn't get it to work.  And now they've advised that her hub won't be delivered until Wednesday despite being promised on Monday.  Really not impressed, the internet is Nan's only way of communicating with anyone so she has been completely isolated apart from my visits for days now.

I can't think of any other way that I can get her back online today and I'm so disappointed for her.

Which probably suggests the fault was never with the original Hub: it rarely is.

Re: Use a Skyq hub in another house

They ran all of the line tests and they were fine, just no connection with the hub (it is several years old so not unexpected).  Just so frustrating that they promised Monday and it is now Wednesday.   She has been so cut off from everything - too hard of hearing to use the phone and too sight-impaired for the TV so her iPad is her only way of communicating, plus she uses internet based equipment at home to make her day-to-day life a little easier and none of this is working.

Hey @Emorris36

I just wanted to make sure that you know about our Accessibility Team who can give your Nan extra support if needed.

Are they already signed up with the Accessibility Team? Once registered there are also different methods of communication with this team
