Upload Latency on SKY is terrible and not suitable for gaming
Can someone from Sky please explain why I have a high upload latency on a Wired connection.
As advertised Full fibre150 recommended for online gaming when its clearly not.
I thought my PC was going bad due to all the Latency alerts when i was gaming but after a few checks with other gamers and after testing on several speed checkers ( all with roughly the same stats) its my actual SKY thats the problem.
I read another article where its also a problem with VOIP calls.
Ive tried shorter LAN cable and various other settings upgraded my cables to more higher CAT ratings but still get the same results.
Is Sky throttling my upload latency?
Is this common for other users or just me?
As you can see from OOkla speed test it gets POOR for gaming and also from cloudfare its the same POOR rating.
I have the newer white Router which has no QOS..... so can anyone at Sky put a solution as to a fix for this and before you say it resetting my router will not fix this as tried many times already

Re: Upload Latency on SKY is terrible and not suitable for gaming
Sorry the image files were not loading for your posts so didnt know what you were meaning.Clear now...thanks.
Just tested my connection on Wifi and its the worst its ever been.
I used to get exactly the same specs on Wifi and its terrible now. 29 mbps download with 80-90 latency and exactly the same download specs as my WAN.
Going to call SKY.
This has all began since I got the updated white potatoe router that obviously is the problem.

Re: Upload Latency on SKY is terrible and not suitable for gaming
I have the same issue, seems sky routers are not quick enough and dont have QOS for gaming, so would need to replace the router with a non sky by purchasing one that is suitable.
1x Sky Q Silver - 1x Sky Wifi Max Hub - SKY Fibre Ultrafast.

Re: Upload Latency on SKY is terrible and not suitable for gaming
@Debaline Did not wish to point any fingers at what is good/bad, just back to Sky but insisted on the SR203 and Refused anything to do with Max, seems to have a bad rap but my Asus XT8's and the SR203 virtually problem free and that's NOT to say that anything will/can crop up at anytime. Picture's posted do sometimes take a little time for viewing before checked and approved for your future reference.
