Upgraded to wifi Max but now upstairs has very low signal

Excellent news @JimM1 - it seems there are a number of potential fixes for this and not always the new kit is the best solution.  The Engineer was here over an hour playing about, but in the end went back to a more simple fix which thankfully worked.

@Lizzard Only reason i asked was it is Max Router Max Pods, is all i see but the SE210 although gets half speed was way ok in nearly all conditions, but really happy to know that it works, i had my extender some 40 foot away from the SR203 router and down one level off stairs, router covered the top and below through the ceiling to kitchen, and the SE covered virtually all the down stairs, but solid walls and heavy doors, but all Asus now apart from the SR203 router, testing out but is needed for landline never used it yet though, better make sure shortly that it's working!

You are 100% correct newer is NOT always better, too many speed freaks.
