Hi,
I recently upgraded to gigafast fibre to the home, doing some speed test with multiple devices the speed does not go to what I'd expect it to. I'm told it's because the hub is not WiFi 6. I also have some black spots in the home that gets no signal whatsoever.
Due to upgrading to the biggest package and tiring myself in to a contract will I be able to get the new improved router (Max) that's suppose to have WiFi improvements??

You have to level your expectations of the kinds of speeds you will get over WiFi as it can vary drastically depending on location, neighbours, devices, home construction etc.

Find out more@LeeM1981 having had both the old Broadband Hub you have and the new Sky Max hub myself the WiFi range is very similar and while in my main living area the new hub does give higher speeds as the older hub tops our around 650Mb/s the difference isnt night and day. As soon as you get a couple of rooms away the difference drops significantly. You may have uses for 900Mb/s WiFi but the huge majority of users don't see any gain in everyday use.
The Wifi Max hub comes as part of the WiFi Max bundle. Which Sky offer and potentially matches w ith extender pod units. These are not WiFi6 but are triband which works well in some properties and less well in others as the units use a high frequency signal forvthe back haul which is poor at penetrating solid walls.

Well both me and my daughter have the same mobile, on her internet at home it goes all the way up and she's on virgin gigabit service, ours my phone only goes up to 270 to 280mbps tops this is because it's not WiFi 6

The hub and pods sound like what we need. I can be next to the hub and only get the same speeds
