Upgraded to Gigafast, router crashes every download

As per the title really, upgraded yesterday and everytime i do something which max's the download speed (download a file from google drive, do a speed test) the router crashes and i lose all connectivity until it reboots which takes a few minutes.

From looking at other posts it seems the solution is to obtain a newer white router, how do i go about doing this?
