Upgrade to fibre has never improved our speed and devices constantly dropping out

We upgraded to Sky Fibre about 3 months ago. Since the upgrade we have seen absolutely no increase in speed or performance.  TV Apps continually show the spinning circle whilst they are buffering (Apple TV in particular); web pages take ages to load, even accessing email take a good while and Teams calls for work during the day constantly break up.

I have reported it to Sky several times and they assure me that the connection to the property is fine. I have had a wi-fi engineer visit twice and he has installed two additional boosters - I already have a Sky Q box and 3 mini boxes - but these haven't made a difference.

I am paying lots more than when I was on copper and getting a worse service.  How can I escalate this problem and if necessary revert back to copper?

It's not possible to revert to broadband over copper once fibre-optic is installed at an address: ISPs cannot place such an order for a wholesale service.

Having seven Sky wireless nodes (Hub, main Q box, three Minis and two boosters) would typically be counterproductive for decent WiF: the 'Q mesh' goes back to 2016 and is now rather outdated technology.

One distinct possibility for better performance would be to source a decent modern mesh system and switch off the Sky wireless.

Thanks for your response.  Any recommendations on a decent mesh system?

I believe @Chrisee uses Deco nodes with Sky FTTP.

Note one complication with Q is that the Mini boxes would need to be connected to mesh nodes over ethernet cable to permit their own WiFi to be switched off.

@carrie99 as @TimmyBGood mentions I use 3 Deco M5 units running in access point mode behind a Sky hub on an Ultrafast+ service. Although only Wifi5 they give me 500Mb/s in my main living area dropping to 150Mb/s in the most distant rooms in a 3 level home shich is ampke for our needs.
